Nope, I'm MMO free, I'm happy to say.
On my off off time right now I'm back to working on a skill based zombie survival game. Pretty much using LA and The Walking Dead as main inspirations.
I had my first rough "from notes" play test the other night. We had to quit before I could kill the the player off, although he did get bit and was bleeding when we stopped. He had about 5 hours till he was a zombie maybe less until he bled to death. I think the highlight of the night included where the player ditched a hurt fellow cop and ran off with his squat car (which had a zombie in the back seat...). The game is still a little rough and I'm still making changes and tweaks here and there.
The wed night LA games are a success so far. Although I need to work on some details for tomorrow night's game tonight. Last week I didn't have time to prepare anything and I was flying blind...which is fun...except when you're presenting space time continuum rules and logic for gates to another world, how the two worlds work together, what opens and closes the portals and how they both effect each other. where a wizard/seer (one of few in the rustic world the players are in) found a book outlining a tale based off of what the wizard was currently doing. Of course the tale included the players and of course it needs to be translated and of course no one really knows what the Hell is going on...and of course in the midst of all this on my non prepared night, I added a new portal that fills the sky above the forest the players are in and of course there are strange magical translucent monsters floating out of the sky, coming from the portal.
Yeah. The whole story is a complicated mess right now, but I swear I know what's going on...I think.
