Right now, I guess I'm kind of testing the waters here with this Tale line of adventures.

I think one thing that might help, is a poll, for you guys.

1. I'll go along with the idea of LGS even without GG approval
2. I'm too scared to do it without it.
3. I'd like to have their approval to make LGS official, otherwise I don't think it's worth the effort.
4. Although I'd like their consent, I don't need it.

Kind of thing.

Yeah either do something with LGS or close it down:P The while adventure line was being done with LGS so that can continue regardless of what you decide to do with LGS.

One things to consider is that if it moves forward, they may see it's value in time and give consent. How are we harming their IP by creating fan material and running demos?

Really GG isn't against the idea (I don't think), I get the impression that there are a lot of ideas on hold while they put together their game plan.

Their real concern is that now they have this "professional" team, Gail and Jon are reluctant to agree to anything until the team has worked things out, viewed the idea and it matches what they want.

In the end I think their concerned with continuetiy and not having the company being pulled in 10 directions by having more than one approval authority.

That's my take on things. I can wait, it's no big deal.

Plus you gotta think, if I do get things set up and rearing to go and I end up waiting on them for the release of the books or something like that, LGS will become more stale then it is now, if others will have put work into it, will start to see that work as wasted as they become discouraged.

I'd rather wait and use that initial excitement as a spring board.

I think you have two issues to decide: when to begin, and do you wait for permission?

So, waiting for permission. This is a fan operation! Why the fuck should you have to wait on them? If this is something you want to do, then do it. It is not official. You do not need them for anything. So I say ignore them and just do what you want.

When? That all depends on what you all decide. You can start now, or wait until the books come out. Go ahead and debate that. But I would not wait for GG on high to make a decision. Have they made a good one yet? If they have, I have not scene it.

So get your butts in gear and decide when you want to get active. Once that is decided, you can decide if you want their permission. If you want to do it now, then forget about it. If you want to wait until June, then if you want to play nice, you can talk to them again. Then, if they still tell you to wait, then you can ignore them.
